About Bortianor
Bortianor is a small, lively fishing village about 22 km west of Accra and one hours drive from Kotoka International Airport. A trip to Accra for visas or shopping takes about 45 minutes. The beach is clean and safe for swimming or surfing, or for just relaxing under a shady thatched umbrella. The fishermen work from large dugout canoes which are manually hauled up the beach accompanied by singing. A plentiful supply of fresh fish is always available in our restaurant.
Directions for your convenience
We are located at the western part of Accra just off the Winneba road between McCarthy Hill and Kasoa. From Accra, take the Winneba road (as if you are leaving Accra to go to Cape Coast), after going through Mallam Junction and passing McCarthy Hill. Stay on the Winneba road headed towards what is commonly known as “Old Barrier”. When you reach this junction known as “Old Barrier” (it is a traffic light), you will see a sign pointing you left towards Bortianor (you will also see a huge billboard on your right for the Kings University) or Bojo Beach Resort. Go up this road (about a 8km) until you enter Bortianor Township. Just after the Township on your right side of the road (Left you will see the Atlantic Ocean) Wunderbar is just visible on your right side of the road.
